Marco Kennema is an accomplished professional in the field of catalysis with extensive experience in both industry and research. Currently serving as the Global Business Director for Oxidation & Dehydrogenation Catalysts at BASF since February 2017, Marco also leads initiatives in the digitalization of the chemical and refining catalyst division. Key achievements include the development of innovative catalysts, such as the Quattro Catalyst and X3D catalyst technology, which encompass over 20 patents and pioneering commercial applications using additive manufacturing. Prior to BASF, Marco completed a PhD at Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung and earned MSc and BSc degrees from the University of Guelph, specializing in analytical chemistry and heterogeneous catalysis.
