Michael Kohl

Michael Kohl is currently the Head of Technical Sales for Battery Materials in Europe and North America at BASF, where they lead a team in coordinating customer strategies and initiating internal R&D projects. They previously served as an R&D Lead Engineer at Happy Electron, where they oversaw battery material projects and managed a team of scientists and engineers. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Scientist at OXIS Energy Ltd., focusing on next-generation lithium-ion batteries. Michael holds a PhD in Chemistry, awarded summa cum laude, from Technische Universität Dresden, where they conducted extensive research on lithium-ion and sodium batteries.
