Patrick was the CEO of Synvina, a BASF/Avantium joint venture for FDCA and PEF, where responsibilities included establishing the joint venture and preparing for commercialization. Earlier experience at BASF involved strategic marketing for methanol and diols, developing growth strategies, and overseeing global operations in the Asia/Pacific region. Patrick holds an MBA from the University of Mannheim and has completed several executive education programs at Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
