Petra Bachem

Petra Bachem has over two decades of experience at BASF, currently serving as Vice President – Head of Senior Project Future Competitiveness in Europe & Cost Improvement Program, where responsibilities include overseeing cost savings programs and reporting directly to the Board of Executive Directors. Previous roles at BASF encompass positions in financial risk management, marketing and sales excellence, innovation strategy, and global strategic marketing, among others. Bachem began the career at BASF as a Trainee in Finance & Administration. Academic credentials include a Dr. rer. oec. in Wirtschaftswissenschaften and a Dipl.-Kfm. in Betriebswirtschaftslehre from Universität des Saarlandes, as well as a research fellowship in Artificial Intelligence at George Mason University.
