Sam Kharchenko is an innovator and expert in technology development with over 15 years of experience in complex fluids, polymers, composites, and nanostructured media. Currently, Sam serves as the Head of Technical Development for Elastollan TPU at BASF, where they lead thermoplastic polyurethane technology initiatives in North America. Previously, Sam held positions at BASF Corporation as a Senior Scientist in Performance Materials, and at Amcor Rigid Plastics, contributing to groundbreaking technologies like LiquiForm™. Earlier in their career, Sam completed a postdoctoral fellowship at NIST, focusing on nanomaterials and advanced manufacturing techniques, after earning a PhD in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science from Wayne State University.
