Sukunath Narayanan

Sukunath Narayanan is currently the Vice President of Polyamides, Ammonia, Inorganics, and Sustainability at BASF SE in Ludwigshafen, Germany. With a strong background in chemical research and development, Sukunath has held various leadership roles, including Director of Strategic Projects in Battery Materials and Recycling, and Vice Director of Technology and Capital Projects in Chemical Intermediates, where responsibilities included steering operational topics and contract management. Prior to joining BASF, Sukunath worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Orchid Pharma, where they contributed to lead optimization for a novel pharmaceutical compound. Sukunath holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Universität Konstanz and has degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and Loyola College, Chennai.
