Sumohan Misra

Sumohan Misra is a Global Senior Portfolio Manager at BASF, bringing over 15 years of research experience in Materials Science and Solid-state Chemistry. They have extensive expertise in studying structure-property relationships in Bulk and Nanomaterials, focusing on applications in Electrochemical Energy Storage, Photovoltaics, Magnetic Refrigeration, and Thermoelectric materials. They previously served as a Research Associate at Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource, where they advanced Li-ion battery technologies, and held various research positions at Ames Laboratory and Michigan State University. Sumohan earned a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Iowa State University, following a Master’s degree from Michigan State University and a Bachelor’s degree from St. Stephen's College, Delhi.
