Thomas Seitz

Thomas Seitz is a seasoned professional in herbicide discovery chemistry, currently serving as the Director of Herbicide Discovery Chemistry at BASF SE since 2006. With a background that includes roles in herbicide chemistry and project management at companies like Bayer CropScience and Hoechst AG, they have extensive experience in the field. Since 2018, Thomas has also been a guest lecturer at Justus Liebig University in Germany, focusing on herbicides within the international master’s program in Agricultural Biotechnology. They earned a Diplom in Chemistry in 1992 and a PhD in 1994 from Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg.
