Thorsten Zank

Thorsten Zank currently serves as President of the Patent Documentation Group (PDG) since January 2015, where additional roles include Working Group Chair of the Patent Database Vendors and Delegate. Since October 2012, Thorsten Zank has been with BASF as Head of the Center of Information Excellence and Head of Bioscience Information, previously holding positions as Information Professional, Innovation Manager, and Research Scientist at BASF from 2003 to 2012. Thorsten Zank began a postdoctoral fellowship at Universität Hamburg from 2002 to 2003 after earning a Doktor (Ph.D.) in general Biology from the University of Hamburg between 1999 and 2002, following the completion of a Diplom in Biology at the same institution from 1993 to 1998.
