Tom Chirayil

Tom Chirayil is a Senior Scientist in Plastics Additives at BASF, where they develop new additive solutions to enhance the durability of plastics in Building and Construction applications. They previously served as a Research Scientist at Engelhard Corporation and as a Senior Project Manager for Effect Pigments in Cosmetics at BASF. Tom also held a Group Leader position focused on effect materials and provided technical support for colorants for plastics. They earned an MBA in Management from Western Connecticut State University and hold both a PhD in Materials Chemistry and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Binghamton University.
