Tom Kleven

Tom Kleven is the Global Herbicide Tolerance Trait Development Manager at BASF, where they oversee the development of herbicide tolerance traits. Previously, from 2012 to 2018, Tom held several roles at Bayer CropScience, including Global Trait Development Manager and Data and Weed Resistance Manager, focusing on herbicide research and resistance. Tom began their career as a Private Research Contractor at Boise Cascade, conducting field trials on hybrid cottonwood clones. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Plant Sciences and Ag Industries Sales and Marketing from the University of Minnesota-Crookston and a Master of Science in Weed Science from North Dakota State University.
