Uwe Küssel

Uwe Küssel is the Head of Global OPEX TAR and Digitalization at BASF, a role they have held since 2023 after various positions within the company, including Process Manager, Production Manager, and Project Operations Manager. They previously served as the Head of Engineering Services and Digitalization from 2022 to 2023. Uwe earned a Dipl.-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Chemical Engineering and Automation from RWTH Aachen University, along with an Executive MBA through cooperation with the University of St. Gallen. Their academic background also includes a Doctorate in Advanced Process Control and Modeling of Thermodynamic Chemical Processes from RWTH Aachen University and a Chemical Engineering and Optimization program at Carnegie Mellon University through a DAAD scholarship.
