Veronica Nelson

Veronica Nelson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in procurement and engineering. Currently serving as a Global Category Buyer for Valves & Pumps at BASF since August 2012, Veronica has developed and implemented supply strategies for five product categories, managing a budget of $30M annually while leveraging SAP and Ariba for data analysis. Previous roles at BASF include Regional Category Buyer for Maintenance, Repair, and Operations and Senior Cost Engineer, where accurate cost estimates were provided for executive approvals. Earlier in their career, Veronica held positions as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, where responsibilities included serving as a liaison between German and U.S. teams, creating technical specifications, and supervising engineering teams. Prior to BASF, Veronica worked as a Mechanical Engineer at KBR, Inc. and as PCE/Mechanical Lead at Dow Chemical. Veronica holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, obtained in 2006.
