Wayne Cao is an experienced professional in project and capital management, currently serving as General Manager at BASF's HVE Chengdu office since March 2024. Prior to this, Wayne held the position of Senior Project Manager at BASF from August 2022 to February 2024, where responsibilities included leading major capital projects and overseeing strategy development from early stages to final execution. At Air Products, from June 2008 to October 2021, Wayne managed various projects, including hydrogen plants and large ASU plants, collaborating with construction contractors and regulatory bodies. Wayne also contributed as Capital Project Manager at Johnson Matthey from November 2021 to July 2022, leading project development through to commissioning. Wayne holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology.
