Wim Roelens is an accomplished software engineer and architect with extensive experience in various sectors, including defense and telecommunications. Commencing a career as a Technical Officer at the Belgian Air Force from February 1995 to July 2000, Roelens handled specifications, acceptance, and maintenance of software and hardware systems in the Air Traffic Control industry. Following this, a tenure at Alcatel-Lucent from January 2000 to December 2007 involved work on Automated Home Device Management and Traffic Engineering over MPLS Networks. As a Software Architect and Team Lead at NEWTEC CY from January 2008 to October 2021, Roelens focused on Network Management Systems in Satellite Communications.
