Sonia Couprie

Sonia Couprie is an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in sustainable practices and global operations. Currently serving as Procurement Manager at Basic-Fit since June 2025, Sonia oversees the procurement function across Europe. Notably, Sonia is also a Steering Committee Member at The Sustainable Procurement Pledge, co-leading partnerships and content initiatives for the non-profit organization. Previous roles include Director of Global Sourcing Center of Excellence at Smurfit Kappa, Global Sustainable Procurement Lead at FedEx, and Director of Global Procurement Center of Excellence at Liberty Global, where Sonia led a significant transformation of the procurement organization. Sonia's career began in audit and transaction support services, with previous positions at BNP Paribas and Mazars. Sonia holds an Executive Program degree from MIT Sloan, multiple certifications in project management and internal auditing, and is currently pursuing further studies in Sustainable Supply Chain at the University of Cambridge.
