Basic Fun!
Irene Chen is currently working as the Senior Vice President of Design & Creative Innovation at Basic Fun! They joined the company in February 2022. Prior to this, Irene worked as the Vice President of Product Development at Infantino from November 2020 to March 2021. They also held the position of Senior Director of Product Development, Category Lead at Hasbro from April 2008 to March 2019. Before joining Hasbro, Irene worked as the Senior Director of Design & Development, Department Head at Playmates Toys Inc. from 2005 to 2008. They started their career in 1998 as the Manager of Design at Mattel, Inc. and worked there until 2004.
Irene Chen has a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honors in Advertising Design from ArtCenter College of Design. Irene also holds an Associate of Arts with Honors in Graphic Design from El Camino College. Additionally, Irene has obtained an Inspiring Leadership Certificate from Hasbro Asia Pacific.
