Walter Yang

Walter Yang is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in machine learning and product management. Currently serving as the Machine Learning Ops Lead at Basis since 2025, Walter has previously held significant roles, including Strategic Projects Lead for Generative AI at Scale AI and Senior Product Manager at LotusFlare. With a background that includes consulting at Monitor Deloitte and associate consulting at Simon-Kucher & Partners, Walter has developed a strong foundation in strategic project management and analytics. Early career experiences include an analyst role at CIBC and data analysis at Heliolytics, complemented by a research assistantship at the University of Toronto's Health Resources Modeling Lab, where Walter received a University of Toronto Excellence Award for contributions to research on MRI wait times.
