Derek Silverman

Derek Silverman has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Derek co-founded Basis Climate in 2022 and currently holds the position of Chief Product Officer there. In 2023, they joined Climate Vine as a member of Cohort 1. Prior to that, Derek worked at Rewiring America as a Product Manager from February 2022 to March 2023, where they led product and engineering work on the Household Electrification Savings calculator. Derek also worked at Facebook as a Product Manager from January 2017 to December 2021. Earlier in their career, Derek was a Software Engineer at CrowdTangle from March 2014 to December 2021. Additionally, they co-founded Sunday's Best in 2009 and organized the Brooklyn Beefsteak event in multiple cities. Derek also gained experience as a Manager of Design Strategy & Sales Operations at Varick Media Management from October 2011 to June 2013.

Derek Silverman attended Wesleyan University from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in History.
