Michael Block

Michael Block is the founder of BASIS.ed and serves as its Chairman. With an extensive career in academia, Michael served as a Professor of Economics at The University of Arizona from 1981 to 2006. Prior to that, Michael was a Senior Research Fellow at the Hoover Institution from 1975 to 1981. Educational credentials include a BS, MS, and Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University, earned between 1962 and 1972. Since 2016, Michael has held the position of Executive Chairman at BASIS Educational Ventures.
