Michelle Michael

Michelle Michael has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Michelle started their career as a Graduate Assistant and Course Instructor at the University of Cincinnati from 2008 to 2010.

Michelle then joined Groupon, where they initially worked as an Account Executive from September 2010 to December 2011. Michelle later transitioned to the role of Corporate Sales Recruiter from December 2011 to June 2012, and then as a Corporate Technical Recruiter from June 2012 to March 2013.

Following their time at Groupon, Michelle joined Cielo Talent as a Recruiting Consultant in March 2013. Michelle worked with Centro as a client, handling full-cycle recruiting across various functions. When Centro brought their recruiting function in-house, Michelle transitioned to their internal team until December 2013.

Michelle then joined Centro in January 2014, where they played a crucial role in building and expanding the recruiting function as one of the first in-house recruiters. Michelle managed a high volume of work, conducting interviews and overseeing up to 60 open positions at a time. During their tenure at Centro, Michelle held various positions including Recruiting Strategist, Senior Recruiting Strategist, and Recruiting Operations Manager, where they focused on operational excellence, employer branding, and managing recruiting partnerships.

In 2021, they continued their career with Basis Technologies (formerly Centro) as the Director, Talent Acquisition. Michelle successfully led and optimized the recruiting function, enhancing the candidate experience and fostering community. Currently, they serve as the VP, Talent Acquisition at Basis Technologies, leading the Talent Acquisition function and using their years of recruiting experience to grow the company and establish the employer brand.

Michelle Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communication from Miami University in 2008.
