J Bittner is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in ontology development and data management across various organizations. Notable roles include serving as Portfolio Risk Manager and Semantic Subject Matter Expert at The Clearing, Inc., and holding positions such as Senior Network Control Supervisor at the United States Department of Defense and Data Engineer at Advanced Systems Engineering Corporation. As a Senior Ontologist at Compass, Inc., J Bittner contributed significantly to the development of open-source ontologies for GEOINT standards, enhancing interoperability and analytics capabilities. Currently, J Bittner is the Founder of Interstellar Semantics and holds the title of Senior Ontologist at BasisPath, Inc., where responsibilities include leading ontology development efforts for the DEA and NRO. J Bittner is also pursuing a PhD in Applied Ontology at the University at Buffalo.
