James Barter has over 20 years of work experience in the field of SAP and data migration. James began their career at Browning Ferris Industries in 1996 as a SAP Development team lead and then moved to Compaq in 1998, where they held the same position. In 2002, they joined Amey as a SAP Data Migration team lead before transitioning to Arval - BNP Paribas Group in 2003 as a SAP Data Migration and Interfacing consultant. James continued their SAP consulting career at Britvic Soft Drinks in 2004 as a SAP Data Migration consultant, then at MFI in 2004 as a SAP Integration team lead, and later at Barclays Bank in 2005 as a SAP Integration consultant. In the same year, they also became the Head of ERP Design at the Metropolitan Police, a position they held until 2011. In 2011, they joined Basis Technologies as a Transport Express Senior Consultant, and in 2014, they took on the role of DevOps Solution Director, which they continue to hold. Throughout their career, James has gained extensive expertise in SAP, data migration, and ERP design.
James Barter attended the University of Greenwich from 1988 to 1991, where they pursued a degree in Computer and Communication Engineering. James successfully completed their studies and graduated with a 2:1 BSc degree.
