Florian Bretin

Florian Bretin is a seasoned professional in the field of biomedical engineering with extensive experience at Basler AG. Since February 2025, Florian has served as the Head of R&D Firmware, demonstrating leadership in firmware development. Prior to this role, Florian held positions at Basler AG including Head of R&D Lower Mainstream and Group Leader Product Qualification from August 2018 to March 2021. Florian holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedizintechnik/Medizintechnik from Maastricht University, completed between 2010 and 2015, and a Master of Science (MS) in Biomedical Engineering from Technische Hochschule Lübeck, earned from 2008 to 2010.
