William L. is a versatile professional with a strong background in software engineering, graphic design, and healthcare. As a First Gen Force Member at projectBASTA since March 2019, William supports first-generation college graduates in their career development. Experience includes roles such as Senior Software Associate and Software Associate at Infosys, where skills in Java, Oracle EBS, and PLSQL were rapidly acquired. William also co-founded Stealth as a Software Engineer and served as CEO at vivipedi, a CUNY Startup Accelerator participant. Additional contributions include communications and marketing efforts at Pvilion and a background in healthcare as a Men's HIV Health Prevention Associate at Apicha Community Health Center. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Business and Graphic Communication from Baruch College and participation in rigorous programs at Flatiron School and NPower.

Basta is a nonprofit closing the employment gap for first-generation students. Our model builds a bridge between employers and an untapped talent pipeline. We do this through rigorous career-prep programs that directly support students in securing great jobs and internships. We also form strategic partnerships with the larger higher-ed and nonprofit ecosystem to scale students’ access to high-quality career prep and with employers to build a talent pipeline for all their hiring needs.
