Michelle Foo is a UX Designer who is currently working as an Associate at Bates Smart. Michelle has previously worked at Assignar as a UX Designer from May 2021 to January 2022. At Assignar, they were responsible for the end to end design of the mobile application and continuously worked on multiple features at a time on a 3 week sprint period.
When working on a new feature or improving the current UX flow of existing features, their process started with data research, flow diagrams, and high fidelity wireframes. During the entire process, they continuously collaborated with product managers and developers. Michelle also introduced and established several processes, starting from research to handover of designs and workflows to developers. User feedback/usability testing/beta programs were utilised throughout the process depending on goals and requirements.
Michelle was also responsible and had ownership of the entire mobile designs. Michelle redesigned the mobile application for a better UX design & flow with a clean and modern user interface and established the design framework. Michelle also established the mobile design system and continuously worked closely with developers to ensure designs were implemented correctly. In addition, they mentored and guided junior UX designers and mid-level designers on UX processes and UI best practices, along with conducting webinars to showcase new features that had recently been released.
User Experience Design:
Michelle Foo has a background in architecture and design, and they are currently pursuing a career in user experience design. Michelle has completed a graduate certificate in digital learning environments from the University of Southern Queensland, and they are currently enrolled in an online UX design transformation course through Academy Xi. In addition, they hold a master's degree in architecture from the University of Sydney and an advanced diploma in sustainable building design from TAFE NSW.
