Jake Chesin

Jake Chesin is a Robotics Mechanical Engineer at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, specializing in the operations of the M2020 Perseverance Rover's Sampling & Caching System since April 2022. Additionally, Jake serves as an Assistant Professor at ArtCenter College of Design, teaching courses on physics and mechanical engineering principles. As a member of the BattleBots team "SawBlaze," Jake is responsible for the development and integration of flamethrower systems for competitive robotics. Previous experience includes roles as a Technical Project Manager at Amorphology, Inc., and various engineering positions at NASA JPL, Northrop Grumman, and the U.S. Navy, where Jake has honed skills in project management, mechanical design, and operational procedures. Jake holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electromechanical Systems Engineering Technology from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
