Jeff Vasquez

Jeff Vasquez currently serves as an Engineering Development Technician IV and Additive Lab Manager at AeroVironment since April 2023. With extensive experience as Team Captain and Builder for BattleBots since May 2001, Jeff co-designed and led the build for the semi-finalist "Whiplash" in 2018 and the runner-up in 2020. Additionally, Jeff is the Owner and Builder at Ultra Prototypes, which has been operating since January 2002, providing cost-effective prototyping solutions. Previous roles include Senior Engineering R&D Technician at Parker Meggitt from January 2012 to April 2023 and Senior Mechanical Engineering Technician at Zodiac Pool Systems from January 2009 to December 2011, specializing in rapid prototyping and project development. Jeff also owned and operated Ultra Painting & Refinishing from January 1987 to January 2006. Education was attained at California State University, Northridge between 1979 and 1981.
