Michael Jeffries

Michael Jeffries is an experienced professional in mechanical engineering and robotic combat, currently serving as a Research Technologist at the Georgia Tech Research Institute since September 2015. In addition to this role, Michael acts as a Match Steward for BattleBots, overseeing the appeals process and communication support for teams since October 2022. Michael's background includes serving as Team Captain for Chaos Corps and contributing as a Curator for SPARC, where responsibilities encompassed the management of robot combat rules and website content. Michael's editorial contributions span a decade at Servo Magazine, alongside substantial engineering roles at various companies, including The Haskell Company and Newell Rubbermaid. Michael holds a Master's degree in Systems Engineering from Kennesaw State University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
