Esports Tournament Admin at Battlefy

Jonathan Monopoli has a diverse work experience in the esports industry. Jonathan started their career in 2014 as a Line Cook at Buffalo Wild Wings while also working as an EA Sports NHL GameChanger for Electronic Arts. In 2019, they joined Battlefy as an Esports Tournament Admin, where they resolved disputes, maintained competitive integrity, and communicated with operators in various high-profile tournaments across different games like NHL, FIFA, and Madden.

In 2020, Jonathan served as the General Manager of the Leafs Gaming League, where they successfully drafted and built a winning 6v6 team, securing a $16,500 grand prize for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Jonathan also provided commentary and analysis for streaming events. Additionally, they worked as a League Operations Coordinator at Northern Arena and as a Tournament Admin at FACEIT Ltd for the NHL Gaming World Championship, providing game-expert knowledge and support for both online and live events.

Currently, Jonathan Monopoli is working as an Esports Coordinator at MLSE (Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership) since 2022, where they continue to contribute their expertise to the esports industry.

Jonathan Monopoli attended the University of Waterloo from 2015 to 2020, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation and Sport Business. In addition, they also studied at Wilfrid Laurier University from 2015 to 2017, focusing on Business Administration to earn another Bachelor's Degree.
