Abi Cooper serves as the Youth Advocacy Lead and Lived Experience Coordinator for batyr since January 2022, following a position as Volunteer Coordinator at Youngcare from December 2020 to April 2022. Previous experience includes roles as Youth Advisor at Orygen from September 2019 to January 2022, and Project Steering Committee Member for the Queensland Mental Health Commission from July 2020 to July 2021, acting as a lived experience representative. Abi has also contributed as an Equity Officer and Mentor for the YMCA Queensland Youth Parliament from February 2019 to December 2020, and held various positions in organizations such as the One Woman Project and Centric Wealth. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Business/Arts in International Relations from The University of Queensland, and earlier studies at St Ursula's College.
