Lewching Yip

LewChing Yip is an experienced professional in crisis intervention and advocacy, currently serving as a Crisis Intervention Case Practitioner at Domestic Violence Crisis Service ACT since August 2022 and as the Founder of Project Chosen Family, set to launch a support group for marginalized youth in 2025. With a background in lived experience consulting since 2019, LewChing has held various roles including Deputy Consumer Co-Chair at Mental Health Australia, Consultant for the ACT Government’s Child and Family Reform Ministerial Advisory Council, and Lived Experience Speaker at batyr. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Work from Australian Catholic University and a Bachelor of Arts from The Australian National University, underscoring a commitment to enhancing safety and support for vulnerable populations.
