Robert Feiger, born in 1962, worked from 1983 to 1992 as a secretary at IG Bau-Steine-Erden in the Augsburg district association and studied at the Social Academy in Dortmund from 1986 to 1987 before moving to the Bavarian state association in 1992. In 1998 he became managing director in the Upper Bavaria district association of the IG Bauen-Agrar-Umwelt before taking on the role of regional manager for Bavaria in 2005. In 2007 he was elected as a member of the board of the federal board of the IG Bauen-Agrar-Umwelt, became deputy chairman there in 2009 and has been the federal chairman since 2013.
