Alicia Thompson

Alicia Thompson is a Human-Centered Design Evangelist who blends art and science to create innovative medical products. With a background in cognitive science and design, Alicia previously worked as a consultant and an adjunct faculty member at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and held positions at Duke University, Medtronic, and is currently a Senior Principal Human Factors Engineer at Baxter International Inc. Throughout their career, Alicia has focused on placing humans at the center of design processes, guiding organizations to achieve their goals while fostering collaboration and openness. Alicia is also pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies at the University of Minnesota and Hamline University, respectively.
