Brian Mears, PMP, currently serves as the Director of R&D for Patient Support Systems Global Systems Engineering and Services at Baxter International Inc., a position held since December 2021. In this role, Brian leads a team focused on customer-inspired innovation in the development of life-saving products. Prior to this, Brian held various R&D leadership roles at Baxter and Hillrom, including Associate Director and Senior R&D Manager, where responsibilities involved overseeing Systems Engineering, Verification and Validation Engineering, and the development of innovative medical devices. Brian's extensive experience also includes significant roles at Visteon Corporation, where responsibilities ranged from leading product development to managing engineering teams, and at International Paper as an Electrical Project Engineer. Brian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
