Derek Hein

Derek Hein is currently serving as the Associate Global Marketing Manager for Advanced Surgery at Baxter International Inc. since August 2021 while also contributing as a Crew Member for Sofar Sounds since October 2021, where responsibilities include facilitating show setup and creating a communal atmosphere. Previously, Derek held positions at Medline Industries, Inc. as a Product Manager and Associate Product Manager in the Proxima Division, focusing on surgical drapes, gowns, and packs from July 2019 to August 2021. Derek's early experience includes advising students as a Student Ambassador for the Study Abroad Office at Ohio Northern University and completing a Brand Management Internship at Amway, where significant brand strategies and social media initiatives were developed. Derek holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Business with a Marketing Concentration and a Spanish Minor from Ohio Northern University and has international experience from studies at Universidad del País Vasco.
