John Espey

John Espey, MD, is a cardiothoracic surgery trained physician and medical affairs professional currently serving as a Principal Medical Science Liaison at Baxter International Inc. They completed their Doctor of Medicine at Albany Medical College in 2008 and went on to work as a Client-Provider Relations Representative at US Imaging Network from 2008 to 2010. From 2014 to 2018, they pursued their medical education at Albany Medical College, followed by a residency at UNC Health Care, where they provided comprehensive surgical care and performed over 1000 cardiac and thoracic surgeries between 2018 and 2022. Prior to their medical training, they served as a private science tutor at the United States Merchant Marine Academy and were a full-time graduate student at Stony Brook University.
