John Porter

John Porter, CPA, CGMA, MST, is a seasoned tax accounting and planning professional who served as VP of Tax Operations & Reporting at Baxter International Inc. until March 2020. With extensive experience in ASC740 matters, John has played pivotal roles in global tax provision oversight, transfer pricing, and purchase accounting. Prior to Baxter, John held senior positions at Innovene and BP, where responsibilities included tax planning for North American operations and leading substantial tax planning initiatives. John graduated with distinction from DePaul University with a Master of Science in Taxation and earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois, graduating in the top 1% of the class.
