Sammy Burton

Sammy Burton, PharmD, FISMP, CPHQ, is a seasoned pharmacy professional with extensive experience in medication safety and quality. Burton began as a Pharmacy Technician at Stembel Pharmacy and progressed to roles including Pharmacy Intern at Indiana University Health Arnett Hospital and Research Fellow at Purdue University, focusing on drug treatment for Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. Following an internship at the Center for Medication Safety Advancement, Burton served as a Safe Medication Management Fellow at the Institute for Safe Medication Practices and held the position of Medication Safety Pharmacist at Cleveland Clinic. Currently, Burton is a Principal Medical Liaison at Baxter International Inc., leveraging expertise in medication safety developed over years of dedicated practice, including teaching as adjunct faculty at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
