Benoit Cousson has extensive experience in the field of embedded Linux and power management. Benoit was a Co-Founder, President, and CTO of BayLibre, a company specialized in embedded Linux and Power Management. At BayLibre, they supported customers in their design choices and realized Linux software designs. Benoit also provided hands-on trainings in embedded Linux, Android, and Git.
Prior to their role at BayLibre, Benoit worked at Texas Instruments as the Linux Power & Thermal Management Team Lead. Benoit'steam was responsible for defining power and thermal solutions for OMAP SoCs using Linux mainline frameworks. Benoit led a worldwide team and contributed to the upstreaming of common clock framework, AVS, and worked on a generic DVFS solution. Benoit was also a Power Management Expert for Linaro, where they focused on creating infrastructure, guidelines, and tools for power management on ARM SoCs.
Before their time at Texas Instruments, Benoit worked at Philips Consumer Communication as a Software Architect. Benoit also served as a Software Team Leader at Vitec Multimedia and a Software Engineer at Philips ITCL and Matra. Benoit'searly career includes the role of HW/SW Engineer at Europscan.
Throughout their career, Benoit has demonstrated expertise in power management software architecture and has worked closely with hardware architects to define full system solutions. Benoit has also made significant contributions to the development of generic Linux mainline frameworks in the field of power and thermal management.
Benoit Cousson completed their engineering degree in Electronics from ESIGELEC : ÉCOLE D'INGÉNIEURS-ES GÉNÉRALISTES between 1990 and 1993.
