Tom Powers

Tom Powers has extensive experience in education, coaching, and community service. Currently serving as the Girls Varsity Tennis Coach at St. Johnsbury Academy since April 2024, Tom also works as a Security Specialist at BayMark Health Services since July 2018. Previous roles include Support Staff at Albany Community School and Early Head Start Home Visitor at Northeast Kingdom Community Action. Notably, Tom has held several positions in educational settings, such as School Staff at Sutton School and History & Math Teacher at LEARN, where diverse responsibilities included managing student needs and implementing curricula. Tom has also contributed significantly as an Employment Specialist at Lyndon Institute, facilitating job placements for students, and as an Americorps Vista, organizing community programs and fundraising initiatives. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from Lyndon State College.
