Javier Velez has extensive experience in logistics and operations, currently serving as the Rail Operations and Fleet Leader at BAYSTAR™ / Bayport Polymers LLC since 2019. Previously, Javier held the position of Inventory and Logistics Analyst at Soltex, Inc. from 2018 to 2019, and served as a Rail Logistics Coordinator at Oxy from 2013 to 2018. Earlier roles include Rail Operations and Service Support at Norfolk Southern Corporation and Census Coverage Measurement at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Additionally, Javier operated as a Licensed Property and Casualty Insurance Agent and Tax Professional while self-employed from 2005 to 2009. Javier holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from the University of Houston and an Associate of Arts in Business Administration and Management from San Jacinto College.
