Deep Mehta

Deep Mehta has a diverse work experience that spans across various roles and industries. Starting in 2014, they worked as an intern at IIFL Capital Pte. Ltd., where they conducted research on the Indian insurance sector. They gathered data on international insurance markets and developed models for calculating profitability and capital requirements.

In 2014, Deep Mehta also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they assisted students in SAS programming and assignments related to default prediction models.

Moving on to 2015, Deep Mehta joined Deutsche Bank as an Analyst in Asset Management. They worked on managing cross asset risk factor strategies and focused specifically on interest rate products. Their responsibilities included analyzing, researching, and managing various interest rate strategies.

In 2016, Deep Mehta started working at Bayview Asset Management, LLC as an Analyst, where they focused on hedging mortgage servicing and originations. They were responsible for risk transfer strategies, pricing, hedging, and portfolio reporting.

They later became a Senior Analyst at Bayview Asset Management, LLC in 2017, taking on additional responsibilities.

In 2019, Deep Mehta was promoted to Assistant Vice President at Bayview Asset Management, LLC, where they set up securitization operations and worked on enhancing default modeling.

Currently, Deep Mehta holds the position of Vice President at Bayview Asset Management, LLC and manages a team of four, overseeing residential strategies in agency and non-agency areas such as CRT, loans, securitization, and hedging.

Deep Mehta completed their Master of Science (MS) in quantitative and computational finance from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Surat, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. In July 2014, Deep Mehta also became a Level 2 Candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification offered by the CFA Institute.
