Jon Cheung

Jon Cheung has a diverse work experience spanning from 2014 to the present. Jon started their career at Next Retail Ltd as a Sales Assistant from October 2014 to May 2016. In 2016, Jon worked as an Intern Software Engineer at CyberSource for three months. Jon then joined Cybersource as a Software Engineer in June 2018, working on Spring Boot RESTful APIs with a focus on high volumes of merchant traffic and uptime. In September 2020, they were promoted to a Senior Software Engineer role at Cybersource, where they continued to contribute to the development of robust systems.

Most recently, Jon joined Bazaarvoice in June 2022 as a Senior Software Engineer and quickly progressed to a Staff Software Engineer position in June 2023. During their time at Bazaarvoice, they led a team and played a crucial role in the development of a Ruby on Rails application published on the Shopify app store. This application facilitated seamless integration and data transfer between Shopify and Bazaarvoice. Jon successfully migrated the app with zero downtime and implemented performance enhancements for infrastructure stability.

Jon Cheung attended Methodist College Belfast from 2007 to 2014. Jon then went on to Queen's University Belfast, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Computer Science from 2014 to 2018.
