Mark Sebestyen

Mark Sebestyen is currently the Director of Data Science at Bazaarvoice, having previously held the position of Director of Data Science at Granify, where they led the architecture and optimization of the Granify Brain, a machine learning algorithm. Mark was instrumental in establishing ATB Financial's first Artificial Intelligence R&D team and has worked as a Principal Data Scientist there, collaborating with the University of Alberta on various AI initiatives. They are currently pursuing Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mathematics at the University of Alberta, reflecting their deep-rooted interest in the mathematical foundations of data science and machine learning. Mark enjoys participating in hackathons, playing tennis, skiing, and running in their spare time.
