Ryan Murphy

Ryan Murphy has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Ryan currently works at Bazaarvoice as the Director of AI and Platform Engineering, where they have been since June 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Manager of Software Engineering at Bazaarvoice from August 2018 to June 2023. From August 2017 to July 2018, they worked as a Manager of Software Engineering at the same company.

Before joining Bazaarvoice, Ryan worked at Capital One starting in November 2014, where they held the role of Manager of Data Management until February 2017. Prior to that, they served as the Principal Systems Integrator for the Basel Program from August 2013 to October 2014. Ryan also worked as a Business Systems Analyst for the Basel Program from August 2012 to July 2013.

Ryan's earlier work experience includes founding and co-leading a non-profit organization called "Integrated People, Integrated Planet" from September 2010 to December 2012. Ryan co-founded this organization and oversaw a team of college students in expanding their web platform. The non-profit connected products from Pakistani artisans with consumers in the U.S. by sharing artisan biographies and stories and donated all proceeds to an underprivileged school in Karachi, Pakistan.

Additionally, Ryan worked at Capital One as a Process Manager from 2011 to 2012 and interned at the International Center for the Study of Terrorism from June to August 2010 as part of the Competitive Adaptation in Terrorist Networks Project.

Ryan Murphy attended Pennsylvania State University's University Park Campus from 2007 to 2011. Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Sciences and Technology (IST) and minored in IST for Telecommunications and Sociology.
