Terry Hurlbutt

Terry Hurlbutt has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2004, Hurlbutt started their career at Google, where they served as a Quantitative Marketing Manager and Online Operations Team Lead until 2009. Hurlbutt then joined Electus, where they worked as an Academic Intern in Business Development and Operations from January 2010 to June 2010. Following this, Hurlbutt interned at The Walt Disney Company as a Strategy and Business Development Intern for DIMG from June 2010 to December 2010.

In 2011, Hurlbutt joined YouTube and held several positions, including Business Development Manager for Original Programming from July 2011 to October 2012, Global Business Development Manager for Content & Commercialization from August 2012 to January 2014, Strategy & Business Development for Paid Content and Creator Commerce from January 2014 to September 2014, and finally North America Partnerships for YouTube Kids from September 2014 to March 2015.

From 2015 to 2021, Hurlbutt worked at The Walt Disney Company. They held various executive positions, including Director of Audience Development for ABC News from March 2015 to September 2016, Executive Director of Audience Development from September 2016 to July 2017, VP and GM of GMA Digital from July 2017 to September 2019, and VP and Executive Editor of ABC News from September 2019 to December 2021.

Currently, Hurlbutt is serving as the Vice President of Creator Marketing and Content Strategy at Bazaarvoice, starting in January 2022.

Terry Hurlbutt attended Stanford University from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Their field of study included History and Economics. Later, between 2009 and 2011, Terry pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at UCLA Anderson School of Management, though the specific field of study is unknown.
