Foster Karcha

Foster Karcha, P. Biol., is a Professional Biologist with extensive experience in environmental assessment and licensing of generation and transmission infrastructure across Alberta and multiple regions including Manitoba, BC, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and Chile. They have led a team of biologists, ecologists, and environmental scientists to excel in environmental permitting and management, specializing in transmission-avian interactions and electrical infrastructure permitting. Previously, Foster held roles as an Environmental Planner at ATCO Electric, where they integrated environmental assessment techniques into facility applications, and as a Project Manager at Hemmera. Currently, they serve as a Senior Environmental Professional at BBA Consultants, focusing on regulatory permitting for renewable energy projects.
