Jean-Francois Bourque holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Aquatic Ecology. They have extensive experience as a research specialist in freshwater and marine aquatic ecology, having worked under Dr. Julian Dodson at Laval University on ichthyological projects in the St. Lawrence River. Previously, Bourque was the Biologist-in-Charge at the Interuniversity Centre for Research on Atlantic Salmon and served as Project Director at AECOM, overseeing key initiatives in environmental services. Currently, as Chef de service Environnement at BBA Consultants, they supervise a team of 40 professionals and manage projects focused on renewable energy, mining, and industrial environmental impact assessments.
