Shane Moffat

Shane Moffat has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Shane is currently the Vice President Technical at BBAM, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they were the Director & Technical Consultant at SGM Aviation starting from October 2020. Shane also served as an Assistant Lecturer at Technological University Dublin, School of Transport Engineering from February 2022 to January 2023. Shane worked as a Technical Manager at Deucalion Aviation Limited from December 2021 to December 2022. Before their managerial role, they were an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at Delta Air Lines from March 2015 to September 2020. Shane began their career at CityJet in August 2008 as an Aircraft Engineer, specializing in B.1.1 certified line engineering and base maintenance for the BAE Avro RJ85.

Shane Moffat's education history starts with a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Technology, with a focus on Air Transportation, obtained from Technological University Dublin between 2012 and 2013. Following this, Shane pursued an Apprenticeship in Aircraft Engineering, specializing in B2, from the same institution from 2008 to 2012.

In terms of certifications, Shane obtained the EASA Part 66 B1.1 certification from the Irish Aviation Authority in July 2014. Later, in May 2015, Shane earned the FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification from the Federal Aviation Administration. In March 2016, Shane obtained both the EASA Part 66 B2 and EASA Part 66 C certifications from the Irish Aviation Authority. Additionally, in October 2016, Shane obtained the PRINCE2® Practitioner certificate in Project Management from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Lastly, in February 2017, Shane completed the iExcel Master Diploma from IACT International Academy of Computer Training.

Shane then pursued a Master of Science in Project Management from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School between 2017 and 2019. The field of study for the MSc in Project Management is unspecified.
